Dame Wiggins of Lee and Her Seven Wonderful Cats: A Humorous Tale Written Principally By a Lady of Ninety
Author: Ruskin, John (Edited, with Additional Origianl Verses), , Illustrated by: Kate Greenaway, and Original Woodcuts Reproduc
Publisher: E. P. Dutton New York 1928

Bright orange cloth hardcover with black title and stamped cover illustration, in the scarce dustjacket. 20 pages printing on recto only, The original crude and comic woodcuts are reproduced, with additional illustrations by Kate Greenaway to illustrate some additional verses by Ruskin. (Neither quite as spontaneous and charming as the originals.) Ruskin says that he left the illustrations in B&W so that children could have the fun of coloring them. Thank goodness no child did in this copy! The books is nearly pristine, with the faintest hint of rubbing at spine ends. The jacket has roughened edges with small chips and a few short closed tears, a few faint spots, with a larger chip on the rear cover at spine fold and a longer closed tear on the rear flap fold (lightly repaired with archival mending tape). Unusual to find a jacket in any condition! COLLECTIBLE 5090 First Edition Thus Good Dust Jacket Hard Cover Near Fine Condition 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall Collectible Quantity available: 1.
